About Aanastasiya Dovzhenko, DMD

Aanastasiya Dovzhenko, DMD, is a general dentist at Rainier Dental, providing high-quality oral health care to adults in Bonney Lake, Puyallup, Sumner, and Tacoma, Washington.

Dr. Dovzhenko was born and raised in the Horlivka, Donetsk region of Eastern Ukraine. From the time she was little, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. After high school, Dr. Dovzhenko studied at the Poltava State Medical Dental Academy in Poltava Oblast, Ukraine, earning her dental degree.

After graduation, she studied to become an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Dr. Dovzhenko completed an oral surgery residency and served for eight years in the dentistry department of a Ukrainian level 1 trauma hospital. She also served as a general dentist during this time, specializing in restorative and prosthetic dentistry.

Dr. Dovzhenko was one of the first oral surgeons in her city to offer dental implant restoration. She was the proud owner of her own private practice but was forced to leave the country in 2014 due to the ongoing military conflict. 

Despite these challenges, Dr. Dovzhenko has never lost her passion for dentistry. Upon arriving in America, she enrolled at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, New Jersey, earning her second dental degree.

At Rainier Dental, Dr. Dovzhenko loves helping make a difference in people’s lives. Her knowledge and expertise allow her to provide various dental services to adults of all ages. 

Dr. Dovzhenko regularly enrolls in continuing education courses to enhance her professional skills. Outside work, she loves getting outdoors and spends most weekends mountain biking, hiking, and camping with her teenage son.
